Earth Vigil is here to support the deepening of our relationship with each other and the earth through creativity, community and action.

We believe we’re all closely connected to the environment, that our inner-state and our choices link to broader social, economic and environmental systems.

We’re also here to support the development of soulful community who want to connect around ecological, spiritual and creative ideas and actions, particularly in our home town of Sydney.

Earth Vigil was born as a response to the importance of the Copenhagen climate talks (COP 15) in 2009.  It began with an event in Martin Place, Sydney on December 7, 2009.  It was an opportunity for people from diverse backgrounds to pray, meditate and reflect together for our earth, timed for the opening hours of the Copenhagen talks.
