Earthvigil is a public prayer/ meditation for those
who care deeply about our environment – to come together for
reflection and prayer at a critical time in human history. Harnessing
the power of prayer, meditation, and positive intentions requires as
many of us as possible – an invitation is extended to people of all faiths and backgrounds.
We acknowledge our differences, and share knowledge and understanding. We do this at a point in history when all nations urgently need to take action to heal the earth, stop climate change and through this sustain life itself on our planet. Through participation in this combined action, our desire for the world’s leaders to take decisive action for positive change and our indebtedness to the earth that sustains us is publically acknowledged.
WHEN: Monday December 7, 2009 – the first day of the Copenhagen environmental talks.
